It’s Westcoast Cloud Wrapped…kind of

Corporate End of Year reflections in December are as traditional as accidentally finishing the (second!) tin of Quality Street before Christmas day. Or waiting to see what Spotify’s annual review, Spotify Wrapped, says about your musical tastes over the past 12 months.

While ours might have revealed that we listened to way too many Disney songs, it got us thinking about some our own greatest 2022 hits. So, welcome to Westcoast Cloud Wrapped.

We were nominated for 12 awards, finalists for 4 and won 2

It was a great year for our trophy cabinet (and egos), as our ELEVATE event was named ‘Best Online/In-person/Hybrid Event of the Year’ at the CRN Sales and Marketing Awards. We also received eight nominations at the CRN Women and Diversity in Channel Awards. Finalists included our very own Magentta Fulker (for ‘Sales Employee of the Year’) and Helenna Mannila (for ‘Technical Employee of the Year’).

The cherry on top though has to be winning the ‘Cloud Distributor of the Year’ at the CRN Channel Awards for the second year in a row. It was great to see everyone’s hard work in making Westcoast Cloud the best in the business pay off. Can we go for the hat trick next year? Find out in 12 months’ time.

We hosted over 1,024 minutes of webinars and events

This year saw us host 29 different updates about all the latest news from Microsoft, as well as in-depth discussions about Dynamics, Microsoft Teams, Viva and more. All designed to arm our partners with the most up-to-date knowledge they need to support their customers.

We also managed to get away from our screens this year and host two in-person events – two Cloud Bootcamps. Guest speakers from Microsoft and Westcoast Cloud joined us to talk about the full range of support and programmes on offer to help our partners grow their businesses. As well as opportunities for partners to get to know each other a bit better.

Our top viewed webinar was New Commerce Experience – February Update

Back in February we hosted our New Commerce Experience – February Update This covered  the historic pricing changes to the 365 platform and what it meant for CSP’s and their customers. We discussed the changes and answered your questions.

If you missed it, or would like to see it again, you can watch a recording here.

We spent 267 minutes hosting podcasts

After a brief break at the beginning of the year, we were back in April. And over the course of the rest of the year, we hosted 13 brand new episodes of our Cloud Talk podcast.

We covered plenty of interesting themes, including how to protect you and customers from supply chain attacks, the highs and lows of being an IT leader, and measuring employee wellbeing in a hybrid world.

Our most listened to podcast was Navigating NCE – what is it and why do you need to know?

Back in April we streamed Navigating NCE – what is it and why do you need to know? This looked at all things NCE, the price changes and what they meant for you. There have been plenty of NCE updates and we didn’t want you to miss a thing!

If you missed it, or would like to hear it again, you can listen to it here.

This was closely followed by last month’s podcast on Supply chain attacks – how to keep you and your customers safe. It covered how Nobelium, the Russian hacking group responsible for the infamous 2020 SolarWinds attack, is back and they’re targeting distributors like us, resellers and even end users, as well as how to protect yourself and your customers from these attacks. If you’re keen to find out more listen here.

We also posted 19 new blogs (including this one!)

Our blogs have helped us keep partners updated on recent news and share our thoughts on what it could mean for them, their customers and their wider industries.

Our most read blog was Get up to speed with Microsoft’s latest updates

January saw us talk about the changes from Microsoft, there lots of announcements on a host of new product updates, resources and partner incentives which we covered in our post Get up to speed with Microsoft’s latest updates. It was certainly a hit with readers, as 185 of you sat down to read it.

If you missed it, or would like to read any of the blogs again, you can find them all here.

Looking ahead to 2023

It’s been another great year for Westcoast Cloud and you, our partners. Thank you for all your support these past 12 months. With so much going on in the world right now, it’s going to be an interesting year ahead of us. But together, we’ll make it work. Happy New Year!
